WarCal Capital Founded to Advance Community-Funded Residential Real Estate
The firm introduces WarCal Bricks™, a transparent participation model focused on long-term ownership and durable housing.
San Antonio, Texas | January 2026
WarCal Capital today announced its formation as a community-funded real estate investment firm focused on long-term residential ownership, durable quality, and responsible stewardship.
WarCal invests in residential assets with an emphasis on longevity and quality rather than short-term extraction. The firm’s work centers on governance, ownership structure, and operational decisions that affect how housing performs over time for residents and communities.
The company has developed WarCal Bricks™, an internal participation and capital- allocation framework designed to prioritize transparency, accountability, and alignment between owners, operators, and residents. This framework informs how WarCal evaluates, restores, and stewards residential properties.
“WarCal was formed to address structural issues we kept seeing in residential real estate,” said Roberto Sacal, co-founder of WarCal Capital. “Weak governance, deferred maintenance, and short-term decision-making tend to compound over time. Our focus is on building systems that hold up.”
Alexander Warner, co-founder of WarCal Capital, added, “The work starts before acquisition. We’ve been deliberate about structure and decision-making so that growth, when it happens, is defensible and responsible.”
WarCal will use its owned channels to share how it thinks, how it operates, and how decisions are made as the firm continues to expand its residential stewardship efforts.
